Access:
From the intersection of Nevada Highway
373 and Sage Road, head
east on Sage Road (dirt) about 1.9 miles. Take
a slight right onto Fairbanks Road about 0.15 miles
and turn left (northeast) onto Mecca Road East and continue
about 0.8 mile. Take a slight right onto an
unnamed power line dirt road about 0.9 miles to the cleared
well pad
area. Both NC-GWE-GF-4PA and NC-GWE-GF-4 are
located on the pad. GWE-4PA is the furthest
west.

Purpose
- Water Resource Conditions in the Amargosa Desert:
NC-GWE-GF-4PA is one of seven boreholes and monitoring
wells to:
1) collect baseline flow and chemical data south and
west of the Nevada Nuclear Security Site, and 2)
determine head relationships near the Gravity fault
to help determine the role of the Gravity fault in
restricting or facilitating groundwater flow in the
Amargosa Valley.
