Access:  From Beatty (Main Street and S 2nd Street) take US Highway 95 north about 4.9 miles and turn left onto an unnamed dirt road.  There is a locked gate at the entrance to the Nature Conservancy Parker Ranch.  Contact the Nye County NWRPO for access. From the gate, proceed about 0.25 miles west to the end of the road segment.  NC-GWE-OV-2 is located about 100 ft to the southeast (left).  Click on the thumbnail image for a larger view.

Purpose
- Surface Water Conditions in Southern Nye County:
NC-GWE-OV-2 is one of two boreholes and monitoring wells in Oasis Valley to collect baseline flow and chemical data in areas (far) down gradient from previous nuclear tests.
